Biography
A precious academic debut
While other children engaged in the mundane, I was requesting custom-cut paper to record my visions. This creative drive resulted in my first official work as illustrator: the award-winning childhood semiology essay “O Passaro da infância: Voo Semilologico, Repouso Poetico” ( The Bird of Childhood: Semiological Fligh, Poetic Rest). My early drawings, bringing life to suns and musical birds, were recognized by scholars as a “critical mosaic” and a “ tapestry” of profound sensitivity.
FROM NANUCA TO NANUKAH: A LIFELONG ALLIANCE
Today, as I embrace the identity of Nanukah, I am not creating something new, but honoring a sacred bond formed decades ago. The “ Nanuka” who listened to then masters now navigating the frontiers of Artificial Intelligence, music, and trans media research. My biographi is a circle closing: a lifelong alliance between “ first innocence” and creative maturity.
FROM CORPORATE ILLUSTRATION TO LITERARY MATURITY
My passion for drawing, which flourished in that 1984 thesis, evolved int a successful career as an illustrator for major Brazilian institutions and brands, such as Banco do Brasil e Natura. In parallel, my writing — a companion since childhood, when I was already “ writing” for scholars and doctors — matured into the publication of my first book in 2011, at age 36: “ Camundo, o desenho e a sombra” (Camundo, the drawing and the shadow).
A journey of Eight works
Since then, my literary production has been continuous. In 2013, I published “O Ladrão de Destinos” (The Thief of Destinies), followed by several homoaffetive romances and fantasy novels, totaling eight books to date. My writing explores the complexities of human relationships and the vastness of the imaginary, always seeking the “tapestry” of sensitivity that critics noted in my very first sketches.
Recognition and the horizons
A significant “new beginning” and academic recognition of my literary career occurred in 2015, when I was invited to join the ALB (Academia de Letras do Brasil) as the Corresponding Academic Member. This milestone solidified my commitment to the written word and the promotion of Brazilian literature, Erving as a bridge to my current projects in illustration, theatre plays and music.
